Cement Pumpkin Workshop with Julie Zetina

Date and Time: Saturday, September 28, 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Location: SMAC Art Center, 7 Downing Street, Hollister, MO 65672

Experience level: Beginner to Advanced. Open to ages 12-adult. (Children 11 and under may take the workshop if accompanied by an adult.)

Fee: $50 per person (Hollister residents $25.00)

This fall decorate your patio, garden, or entryway with a unique cement pumpkin, created yourself with guidance from art instructor, Julie Zetina! These charming sculptures will age beautifully outdoors on a porch, tucked into a shady spot, or in a flower bed. This Cement Pumpkin Workshop is scheduled for Saturday, September 28 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

The workshop begins with casting the cement pumpkin, followed by guidance from Julie in shaping and attaching a cement stem. While the cement hardens, you’ll be treated to a surprise bonus activity!

Cost of materials is included in the workshop fee of $50/person. Thanks to a generous grant from the City of Hollister Parks and Recreation Department, Hollister residents only pay $25.00. Hollister residents make sure to put the word “Hollister” in the coupon code box at checkout when you buy your tickets, to secure the discount. Children are welcome when accompanied by an adult; one ticket per person required. Due to advance preparation costs, there are no refunds of workshop fees. However, if you are unable to attend you may transfer your registration to another person. Class size is limited to 12 so register early! Beware of ticket scams, only buy tickets from SMAC website or a known direct source.
