Ceramic Butterfly Garden Stone Workshop with Julie Zetina

Summer is the perfect time to upgrade an outdoor space with uniquely handmade art! Join artist/instructor Julie Zetina for a two-part workshop to create a stunning ceramic & mosaic butterfly garden stone. 

During the first session of this hands-on workshop, participants will learn to apply colorful glazes to a pre-bisqued, ceramic butterfly form. Julie will then glaze fire the forms in her kiln. 

In the second session, participants will attach the butterfly to a 12”x12” concrete paver. Next, colorful tumbled stained glass pieces will be adhered as a mosaic background on the stone. Julie will grout and seal the stones off-site and return the beautiful creations to the Art Center for pick-up.

Please dress for mess and bring an apron to protect clothing. SMAC has a limited number of aprons available for participant use.

All materials, instruction, grouting and cleaning service are included in the workshop fee of $80.
