Ceramic Mushroom Planter Workshop with Julie Zetina

Sculpt, create, glaze! Join artist/instructor Julie Zetina for a hands-on pottery class and design a unique ceramic planter, perfect for succulents or a small plant!

This is a two session workshop.

During session one, participants will learn basic hand-building and sculpting techniques. Whimsical mushrooms and other charming features will be created to add a personal flair to the planters. Julie will provide instruction on applying these features to a wheel-thrown cylindrical vessel. All work will be dried, and kiln-fired off-site and returned to the Art Center for session two.

During session two, participants will choose from a select group of glazes to add color and detail to the bisque-fired planters. Julie will provide guidance in choosing and applying the glaze. All glazed work will have a final firing off-site and be returned to the Art Center for pick-up at a date to be announced.
