Beginner to Experienced. Open to ages 12-adult
Celebrate summertime by creating your own durable, stoneware, ceramic planter suitable for indoor or outdoor use! In this 2-day Ceramic Planter Workshop, instructor Julie Zetina will guide you through the steps of handbuilding; from working with slabs of clay to designing creative feet for your planter. Plus, you will get to fashion a water dish to place beneath your planter to catch the drips.
Night 1: Participants will build the planter and dish using various tools and texturing devices. All work will be left at SMAC to dry thoroughly before bisque-firing in Julie’s kiln.
Night 2: Participants will choose a glaze option for their planters. After glazing, the works will be left for the second and final firing. All planters and dishes will be returned to the…
