About the event
Join artist/instructor Jennifer Smythe and learn to create mixed media art using your own collections of treasures and tidbits! In the Intro to Texture Mediums Workshop, participants will incorporate found objects such as shells, stones, or driftwood as well as various textural mediums into their work to create uniquely personal art. Taking inspiration from the example provided, participants can easily customize their design to reflect their own personal style. Jennifer will give step-by-step instruction in the proper usage and layering of acrylic texture mediums plus incorporating 3D objects into artwork.
Jennifer will provide materials for class use, however participants are encouraged to bring personal items to include in their work, such as sand from a beach vacation, fabric pieces, pretty papers, sea shells, old jewelry, or anything with a special meaning.
The fee for this workshop is $55 and includes instruction and supplies.
