Joeaux Robey, "Awakening the Buddha Within"

The Southern Missouri Arts Connection (SMAC) will host a solo exhibit featuring the work of artist Joeaux Robey, entitled Awakening the Buddha Within. The show will run April 3-25 at the SMAC Art Center, 7 Downing Street, in historic Hollister, MO. 

Joeaux Robey is a fine artist, art director, and speaker whose art reflects her desire to fully understand the expansion of spiritual awakenings. Using the artistic technique of pointillism, Robey creates a visual connection to sacred concepts, suggesting the art practice can become a meditative experience. “Meditation, the practice of going within, can be accomplished in so many ways! I chose to explore the avenue of art,” says Robey. “Many of these drawings were created as I waited in busy, noisy airports while traveling for my work. To meditate, a person just needs to find their ‘zone’ and be fully present.”
