The Southern Missouri Arts Connection (SMAC) will host a solo exhibit featuring the work of glass artist Kat Weltha, entitled We’ve Been Here The Whole Time. The show will run November 7-29 at the SMAC Art Center, 7 Downing Street, in historic Hollister, MO.
A collection of fragile and intricate artworks will fill the gallery with an intriguing interplay of light and glass. The exhibit seeks to “display the spectrum of identity that has been a part of our humanity for all time,” says Weltha. The pieces depict beautifully familiar imagery while also conveying deeper meaning. The exhibit will showcase two large glass installations with over 300 pieces as well as several smaller works.
