Mosaic Mandala Steppingstone Workshop with Julie Zetina

Date and Time: April 20, 12:30-4 p.m.

Location: SMAC Art Center, 7 Downing Street, Hollister, MO 65672

Experience level: No experience necessary. Open to ages 10-adult. (9 and under may register with adult chaperone)

Fee: $55 per person (Hollister residents $27.50 per person)

Ready to bring some sparkle to your garden this season? Julie Zetina will guide you in creating a gorgeous, one-of-a-kind radial mandala to beautify your outdoor space on Saturday, April 20, at 12:30-4 p.m. You’ll design your mandala using a variety of materials: stained glass, tile, metal, glass beads, mirror and assorted goodies. You can even bring your own FLAT pieces of glass, pebbles, stones, or marbles to add a personal touch to your work also. (Plastic items are not suitable.) Each design will be unique. Examples shown are for promotional purposes only and demonstrate possibilities not the actual outcome.

Once your design is finished, it will be set in concrete and left at the center for curing, weather permitting. If the weather doesn’t permit, your design will be taken offsite for cement pouring and curing. The mandalas will be on the SMAC Center back porch ready for pickup on Saturday, April 27. The class fee is $55 per person. But thanks to a generous grant from the City of Hollister Parks and Recreation Department, Hollister residents may take this workshop for only $27.50. The ticket for this workshop is non-refundable but may be transferred to a friend if you are unable to attend.
