Join Cherie Peters for this transformative journey of creativity, mindfulness and self-discovery at her Neurographic Doodle Workshop, Wednesday, June 5, 1-3 p.m. at the SMAC Art Center. You will learn how to harness the power of neurographic art to alleviate anxiety, reduce stress and overcome negative thoughts and emotions by rewiring how your mind solves problems and connects with your inner self.

This class provides a serene and enjoyable atmosphere, enhanced by light snacks to nourish both body and soul as you delve into the therapeutic world of expressive art through neurography. The fee for this workshop is $30, but thanks to the City of Hollister Parks and Recreation Department, Hollister residents only pay $15.

About the Instructor: Cherie Peters, a seasoned artist and former K-12 Art Educator, has transitioned from the classroom to the tranquil landscapes of the Lake of the Ozarks and beyond. In retirement, she teaches Expressive Arts virtually from her motorhome and shares her love for nature through art classes in the Midwest to the Adirondack mountains of New York. Inspired by the enchanting allure of the Gulf Coast, Cherie gathers treasures like oyster shells and driftwood to create mixed-media artworks infused with the essence of coastal beauty. Currently volunteering at the Dewey Short Visitor Center at Table Rock Lake, she continues to draw inspiration from nature's bounty. Cherie invites viewers to join her on a journey of exploration and imagination through her art.
