Where: SMAC Art Center, 7 Downing Street, Hollister, MO

Who: ages 13 -Adult

Fee: $55 person ($27.50 for Hollister residents)

Join us for a fun workshop on block printing! Block printing is about making your own stamps and using them to print on fabric and paper. In this class, you'll get to design and carve your own stamp, and then practice printing on paper and fabric.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll take home a printed tea towel, greeting card, and gift bag—all ready for giving!

All materials are included in this workshop. The fee for this workshop is $55, but thanks to the City of Hollister Parks and Recreation Department, Hollister residents only pay $27.50.

About the Instructor: Cherie Peters, a seasoned artist and former K-12 Art Educator, has transitioned from the classroom to the tranquil landscapes of the Lake of the Ozarks and beyond. In retirement, she teaches Expressive Arts virtually from her motorhome and shares her love for nature through art classes in the Midwest to the Adirondack mountains of New York. Inspired by the enchanting allure of the Gulf Coast, Cherie gathers treasures like oyster shells and driftwood to create mixed-media artworks infused with the essence of coastal beauty. Currently volunteering at the Dewey Short Visitor Center at Table Rock Lake, she continues to draw inspiration from nature's bounty. Cherie invites viewers to join her on a journey of exploration and imagination through her art.
