Summer Waves in December Glass Workshop with Kat Weltha

Glass fusion is the latest medium SMAC has added to its varied list of art classes and workshops. What better way to learn the art than at the Summer Waves in December glass workshop taught by Kat Weltha, our resident glass guru, on December 13, from 6-8PM. She will teach you the very basics, from cutting to fusing glass. You’ll learn how to draw your pattern for a unique sun catcher. Once cut, you’ll arrange the glass pieces according to your individual pattern.

This is a class for beginners, so Kat will also give you a clear understanding of the science of fusing glass and will demonstrate several tools commonly used in the process. You then get to use the tools, including a glass cutter, running pliers, grozing pliers, tweezers, fusible glue and brushes.
