Have you ever taken an art class and felt rushed to get your painting done by the time class ended? This happens more times than not when you only have three hours. So, art instructor Peggy Dyke has come up with a painting lesson that she will teach through two days, May 18 and 25, 11:30-2:30 p.m., at the SMAC Art Center. Peggy will teach her painting, Wolf, which is a perfect study on how to paint eyes and fur.
With two days to complete your canvas, you’ll be able to take your time and master the techniques more readily. Peggy will demonstrate each step and guide you as you follow along to create this wily wolf painting. So, don’t be intimidated if you are just a beginner. With Peggy’s teaching method, this painting is doable whether you are a beginner or an intermediate artist. There is something for everyone that can be learned in this workshop. The fee is $110 for both classes, which covers everything you will need, including a 14”x11” canvas. Thanks to a generous grant from the City of Hollister Parks and Recreation Department, Hollister residents only pay half ($55.00). Sign up online at www.smac-art.org.
