Southern Missouri Arts Connection (SMAC) invites artists to submit works that explore the theme of trees; from traditional to symbolic, conceptual to abstract. Trees have served as inspiration to artists for centuries as representations of spiritual concepts, the cycle of existence, shelter, wisdom, strength, growth, family lineage, cross-cultural connection, and more. There are no limits to creative imaginings or materials and media used to create artwork for this themed exhibit.
Exhibition Guidelines:
Artists must complete the online application form through the SMAC website https://www.smac-art.org/rooted-submission-form by February 15, 2026. Note: any photos submitted may be used in promotional materials.
